Objective of the game is for the team in possession to pass the ball through one of the goals to a target player. The target player then passes the ball back to one of the players in the team who have just scored and they try and score in either of the opposite goals. If possession is lost, then the opposition attack in a normal directional game manner.
The objective of the practice is for the attacking players to pass from the end grid, through the middle grid, to the opposite end grid and then back again through the middle grid, without the defenders gaining possession.
Lay out a triangle of cones or discs, with 10 – 12 yards between them. The distance can be adjusted to suit the age and ability of the players. Place two players, with a ball on the first cone and a player on the other two cones.
To raise the players body temperature, by increasing the flow of blood to the main muscle groups, providing oxygen and fuel for more strenuous exercise. This will prepare the players body and key muscle groups for the upcoming training or match.
